Rivers guber candidates stage protest at police headquarters, accuse Wike of intimidation

Governorship candidates of some political parties in Rivers State have stormed the state police headquarters to protest against alleged intimidation by Nyesom Wike, governor of the state.

The candidates are Senator Magnus Abe of the Social Democratic Party; Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress; Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Accord and Tonte Ibraye, African Democratic Congress.

The opposition parties also alleged that their members and supporters were being harassed and arrested by security agencies working for Wike and called for the immediate release of all those arrested within this period.
