Interested applicants are invited to apply for Russian Federation Embassy In Nairobi Scholarships 2023/2024 For Undergraduate and Postgraduates. The Ministry is in receipt of communication from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nairobi informing that the competitive selection of sixty (60) candidates for Russian Government scholarships for 2023/2024 academic year has started.

The programme includes undergraduate (Bachelor’s), postgraduate (Master’s) and PhD degrees as well as Russian language preparatory courses. An applicant should fill in online portfolios on the website: https://education-in-russia.com . All applications should be registered on the website before 27th January 2023.

 Application Eligibility and Admission

The list of the required supporting documents is as follows (all documents shall be translated in
Russian):

  • An application form filled-in online at https://education-in-russia.com
  • A copy of the data page of the foreign passport (national IDs are not accepted as
    substitute)
  • A copy of the education certificate such as KCSE or a University Diploma, all pages, with
    transcript of records
  • A report of medical examination issued by an official medical body of Kenya (use a
    recommended bilingual template attached).
  • An HIV tests
  • A tuberculosis tests
  • A, B, C hepatitis test
  • A list of research publications or research papers for PhD nominees.

Application Process

All candidates should get registered at https://education-in-russia.com and to fill in an online version of their application form with a photograph (full face view directly facing the camera, offwhite background).

If main supporting documents (1. Passport’s data page, 2. Educational Certificate, 3. Report of  Medical Examination, 4. HIV test, 5. Tuberculosis test, 6.A, B, C hepatitis test) shall have a certified translation into Russian language.

The Embassy of Russia in Nairobi does not provide translation services. However, there are several third-party companies and individuals who offer translation services in Nairobi.

0722581123. The foreign passport must remain valid at least 15 months after the date of departure for studies
(approximately starting from September- October, 2023).

Applicants who are accepted for studies will be provided with a monthly allowance and accommodation at the University campuses on the same basis as the Russian students.

The candidates should be able to cover their travel expenses, including a round-trip air ticket to Moscow, reception at the airport upon arrival and transfer to their place of study, as well as the individual health insurance (approx. USD 250 per year).

Interested applicant can obtain PRELIMINARY APPLICATION FORM from the Ministry of Education, Directorate of University Education offices located at Teleposta Towers,27th floor room 2702. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website: http://www.education.go.ke/. Complete the preliminary application form.
